RUMFORD -- Paul J. Davis, 77, died on January 7, 2013 at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Cumberland Street in Rumford.
Born in Portland on July 16, 1935, he was a son of Frank Paul and Christine (Jordan) Davis. He was a graduate of Rangeley High School and served in the United States Air Force.
He worked for Ripley and Fletcher and Fontaine’s as an oil delivery driver. He was a member of Napoleon Ouellette Post #24, American Legion.
He was married in Rumford on February 23, 1957 to Shirley M. Glover, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include three daughters, Susan Dugas and companion, Herb Hamilton of Lisbon Falls, Wendy Poole and husband, Robert of New Hampton, NH, and Katherine Williams and husband, Andy of Sabattus; two sons, Matthew Davis and his wife, Lisa of Belmont, NH, and Randall
Davis and his companion, Betty Webb of Rumford; four granddaughters and three great-granddaughters.
He was predeceased by a son, James Michael Davis.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield.
