George and Eva May (Soucy) Frechette
BEACON FALLS, CT -- George and Eva May (Soucy) Frechette of Beacon Falls, CT, previously of Rumford, entered eternal rest. George passed away on July 10, 2011 and Eva May passed on August 26, 2011. Joint funeral services will be held on Saturdayat 10 a.m. at Holy Savior Parish, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford. Burial will follow.
George was born in Portland on October 1, 1928, the son of the late Valere and Eulalie (Arsenault) Frechette. A long time resident of Bridgeport, CT, he was a retiree of AVCO-Lycoming and also served in the Army during the Korean War.
Eva May (Soucy) Frechette was born on December 4, 1932 in Rumford, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Bessie (Collins) Soucy. Both George and Eva May enjoyed spending their summers at Roxbury Pond.
They loved to be surrounded by their family and friends and were always ready for a game of cards. George enjoyed a good yard sale and Eva May enjoyed her soap operas and never missed a class reunion. They will be missed by many.
Survivors include their loving children, Paul Frechette and wife, Kelly of Beacon Falls, Betty Kostyszyn and husband, Robert of Stratford, CT, Karen Udiskey and husband, Ronald of Sandy Hook, CT and Ann Torri and husband, Marco of Seymour, CT; grandchildren, Jonathan Frechette, Kristie Weir, Jessica Olmstead, Sarah Kostyszyn, Mitchell Udiskey, Ryan Frechette, Cora Udiskey and Isabella Torri; and several nieces and nephews.
George is survived by three sisters, Doris, Lorraine and Valerie; and Eva May by her brother, Albert Soucy and wife, Margie. She was predeceased by her brother, Joe Soucy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be forwarded to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in loving memory of George and Eva May.
