Funeral services held for John Norman “Mac” MacDonald

RUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of John Norman “Mac” MacDonald was celebrated on May 16, 2012 at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were Precious Lord Take My Hand, Jesus Jesus, Ave Maria, and Fly Like A Bird.
Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Readings were proclaimed by his sister, Arita Zitoli. Offertory Gifts were presented by grandchildren, Colin MacDonald and Gage Welch. The eulogy written by daughter Jeanne MacDonald was read by her fiancé, Jim Austin.
Pallbearers were Scott MacDonald, Jim Austin, Colin MacDonald, Gage Welch, Eric Arsenault and Mark McPherson.
Interment was in St. John Cemetery with Military Honors by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall.
Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
