TOGUS -- Lee J. Walker Sr., 63, died on January 1, 2013 at the VA Hospice House in Togus. He was a resident of Chase Avenue in Mexico.

Born in Rumford on August 24, 1949, he was a son of Mary Walker. He attended Mexico Schools.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Marlborough Dept. of Public Works in Massachusetts.

Lee enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and playing cribbage. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his camp in Carthage and he loved his pets.

He was married in Worcester, MA on April 27, 1968 to Judith Papsadora, who survives of Mexico.

Other survivors include two sons, Lee Walker, Jr. and his wife, Laurel of East Dixfield, and Linwood Walker of Worcester, MA; two brothers, Reginald Sweatt and his wife, Joyce of South Paris, and Bruce Walker and his wife, Kristina of Lebanon; a sister, Lea Walker of Mexico and nine grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa M. Walker; a sister, Elaine Dolloff; his mother, Mary Walker; and his step-father, Joseph Gallant.
