Funeral services held for Horace “Honk” Worcester
RUMFORD -- A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Horace “Honk” Worcester was celebrated on August 1, 2011 at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist.
Music selections during the mass were How Great Thou Art, the Old Rugged Cross, Precious Lord Take My Hand, and Fly Like A Bird. The Old Testament was proclaimed by his cousin, Elaine Cormier. The New Testament was proclaimed by his granddaughter, Savannah Worcester.
Offertory Gifts were presented by his son, Horace Worcester, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Noo Worcester. Personal reflections were shared by his son Bob Worcester.
Pallbearers were Horace E. Worcester, Jr., Nery J. Worcester, Bob Worcester and Peter J. Worcester.
Interment was in Farrington-Morton Cemetery in Mexico. Military Honors were rendered by the US Navy Honor Guard of Portsmouth, NH. A reception followed at 49 Franklin.
Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
