Albert J. Girouard

RUMFORD -– Albert J. Girouard, 104, formerly of Roxbury, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Rumford Community Home.

He was born in Mexico on November 3, 1906, the son of Fredrick and Eugenie (Googin) Girouard. He had attended Mexico Schools.

For many years, he was a self employed woodsman, carpenter and painter until retirement in 1971. He was a Communicant of St. Athanasius–St. John Church.

Survivors include nephews, Albert Doucette of Rumford, and Richard Libby and his wife, Nancy of Peru; nieces, Claire Doucette and Theresa Parker of Connecticut, and Jeannie Brown of Auburn.

He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Tucker, Bertha Doucette, Yvonne Duguay and Alice Libby; and a brother, Nasthas Girouard.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.
