Isabelle F. Robichaud
PORTLAND -- Isabelle F. Robichaud, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 1, 2011 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was a resident of Richards Avenue in Mexico.
She was born April 22, 1922, the daughter of Greenleaf and Bella (Neal) Goodwin. She attended Rumford Schools and graduated in 1940.
She was a telephone operator and worked as a clerk at W.T. Grants and also in the finishing room at Oxford Paper Co.
She attended local churches and presently had been the pianist at the Rumford Baptist Church. She was also the pianist for the Gospel Group “Fishers of Men.”
She taught children’s Sunday school classes as well as an adult ladies class. She also taught a Good News Club for C.E.F. She was the corrector of the C.E.F. correspondence courses for a number of years.
She was married to Norris Baker who died in 1974. She later married Norman Robichaud Sr., who survives of Mexico.
Other survivors include a son, Thomas Baker of Bangor; step-sons, Norman Robichaud, Jr. of Wisconsin, Scott Robichaud of Auburn, Lawrence Francis of Mexico, and Randy Madore of Mechanic Falls; a step-daughter, Kim Sequoia of Rumford; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and two sisters, Eunice Goodwin and Thelma McShane.
Interment in the spring will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Rumford. Those who desire may contribute to the Rumford Baptist Church, c/o Clemma Nichols, Hall Hill Road, Rumford, ME 04276 in her memory.
