Josephine M. Botti

NORWICH, CT -- Josephine M. Botti, 79, of Norwich, CT, died on Dec. 12, 2010 at the Regency Heights Healthcare Center in Norwich.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 17, 1931, daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Riceputo) DeFazio.

Mrs. Botti worked for many years as a psychiatric aide at the Norwich State Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and watching golf. Josephine spent much of her retirement years with her dear friend, Norah Roberts in St. Petersburg, FL and her summer home at Roxbury Pond in Maine.

Josephine is survived by her son, Raymond Botti, Jr. and wife, Karen of Sterling, CT; three daughters,

Virginia Gay of Norwich, CT, Jane LaLima and husband, Bruce of Spring, TX, and Anne Masterson and husband, Kevin of Leavittsburg, OH; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two nephews; and her former, husband Raymond Botti Sr. of Auburn, WA.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Sherrick; her grandsons, Timothy and Andrew Sherrick; and two brothers, Salvatore DeFazio and Joseph DeFazio.
