Thomas P. Theriault
MEXICO -- Thomas P. Theriault, 61, died on February 14, 2011 at his residence on Roxbury Road in Mexico.
Born in Rumford on September 15, 1949, he was a son of Philip and Theresa (LeBlanc) Theriault. He was a graduate of Stephens High School with the Class of 1967. He was also a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy. He was a Third Engineer with the Merchant Marines.
Thomas was a member of Rumford Falls Aerie #1248, FOE, BPOE #862, Elks, Napoleon Ouellette Post #24, American Legion, LeParesseux Snowshoe Club. He was a communicant of St. Athanasius–St. John Church. He was an avid sports fan.
He was married in Rangeley on September 16, 1995 to Ellie F. McCann, who survives of Mexico. Other survivors include his mother, Theresa Theriault of Rumford; a step son, Dan McCann of Gray; granddaughter, Tasia McCann of Gray; sisters, Sandra Drapeau and her husband, Jim of Mexico, Kathy Brooks and her husband, Randy of Peru; brothers, Tim Theriault of Boston, and Peter Theriault of Alna; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Philip Theriault.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford. Interment in the spring will be in St John Cemetery, Rumford. Friends are invited to call at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Visitation at 6:30 p.m. by Napoleon Ouellette Post #24, American Legion, 7 p.m. BPOE #862, Elks.
