The age of dupe
To the Editor:
The age of dupe has set hold in America and our local government officials have led themselves right into it.
All government from federal, state and local powers are but one melting pot, feeding each other with ideas to extract more and more from the taxpayer.
The newest idea, wind power: blow, baby, blow. The federal government stole Bob Dylan’s line “The answer, my friend is blowing in the wind" and our local officials became joyous bedfellows, signed, sealed and delivered: Looks like money, smells like money; wherever it comes from, who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth.
The wonderful world of government, so detached from the people, yet with such need to get into our wallets and pocketbooks.
Wind power, it surely does blow. Let the government people, who want wind powered electricity to make them feel so good and clean, have it delivered to their homes and they can pay for it.
