Parking issue at Olde Home Days

To the Editor:

Andover Olde Home Days was a big success as usual, with a very large crowd.

However, I do have a complaint. I live on Maple Street, which is adjacent to the common where the majority of the festivities were.

Unfortunately, people were allowed to park on both side of this very narrow street, causing traffic jams. Even a town truck couldn't get through without much effort, and all day the situation was a big problem for the resident.

In case of an emergency, there was no way a fire truck or ambulance could get through.

Next year, please allow parking on only one side of this street and strictly enforce it.
