Support for John Patrick

To the Editor:
I will be supporting John Patrick for the Maine senate in this fall's election.
John has been a strong advocate of public education during his tenure in the Maine senate. He recognizes that charter schools will only drain needed resources away from our public schools and has supported the National Board Certification for Maine's teachers.
He has served on a school board and understands the issues that face Maine educators and the children they serve.
John has also been a strong voice for working families. He understands and fights for legislation that he knows would benefit his constituents. John has supported legislation that has protected our voting rights, worker's compensation, child labor laws and the minimum wage.
John Patrick has earned the privilege of serving as our representative to the Maine senate. I urge you to vote for John in the upcoming November election.
