Thank you wishes

To the Editor:

In this time of the economic crunch, I'm proud to say this community is always there to lend a helping hand.

On Nov. 14, a bottle/food drive was held to support the GRAMPA food pantry at the Green Church in Mexico. More than 1,700 items of food were collected.

I would like to acknowledge the following people and civic organizations who helped make this a huge success:

Boy Scout Troop 580; Cub Scout Pack 580; Girl Scout troops 115, 118 and 676; Sue Clark; Elaine Michaud; George and Sue Byam; Janet Wilson; Tasia McCann; Ernest Matthews; Jacob Hickey; Paul Garrido; Jonathan Young and family (Construction Caterers); and Reggie and Louise Arsenault.

Thank you to the following individuals and civic organizations who left cash/food donations for pickup:

Le Paresseux Club (Snowshoe Club); VFW Canteen Club (Rumford); Fraternal Order of Eagles #1248; River Valley Rotary Club; Mexico Lions Club; Stephens High School Alumni class of 1963; Dr. Robert Saisi; Carlo and Paula Puiia; Lilly Burns; Jenna Schuster; Mexico Town Manager John Madigan; and Mexico Selectmen Byron Ouellette, George Byam, Richie Philbrick and Reggie Arsenault.

And thanks to anyone who donated but remained anonymous. Thanks to your support, we raised over $2,100.

I want you to know your kindness was greatly appreciated. This is a great community to live in!

Reggie Arsenault,

Mexico
