Big wind needs public hearings
To the Editor:
Big wind needs public hearings. At a public hearing, the public presents facts to a hearing committee; usually a board of selectmen.
These facts are recorded and help weigh a decision. Usually the public hearing precedes a vote before the town.
Dixfield is probably going to have a public hearing on a grid sale wind ordinance. Citizens from other towns may testify at a public hearing.
If you can see Canton Mountain or Colonel Holman Ridgeline from your home; you need to publically tell someone.
Tell your fellow property owners impacted by 500 foot towers on Canton, Colonel Holman and Saddleback Ridge to attend this public hearing.
If you cannot attend; written letters, submitted, are entered into a record.
Your voice can be heard and recorded.
