The Basket Lady
Dear friends, let’s just delve into another edition of life’s lessons 101, sit up straight and tall in your seats and pay close attention to all of the offerings that life has to give you.
Life does seem to be moving at a “beam me up, Scottie,” pace these days but sometimes an out of the blue kind angel in training like Sandee Conley will share a poem or a word of encouragement that will offer inspiration on how to live each day well-to the very fullest and here’s a recent posting:
Believe in your heart that something wonderful is about to happen. Love your life. Believe in your own powers, in your own potential and in your own goodness.
Wake every morning with the awe of just being alive. Live this day well! (From: Lessons learned in life).
Now, let’s celebrate those special moments by making a “Here’s to Life Gift Basket.”
Round wicker basket, 11-inch diameter x 4-inch high.
Gold metallic acrylic paint; painting sponge; metallic gold wire-edge ribbon, .25-inches wide; metallic gold net ribbon, 3 inches wide; gold cord with tassels at ends; cellophane wrap.
Gift basket contents:
Recycled paper shreds; gold metallic shreds; brass embossed tag; box of chocolates; red, yellow or pink roses; bottle of champagne; wine glasses; candles and candle holders; cloth napkins;
Assembling the gift basket
Place recycled paper shreds in the basket to lift up the bottle and secure in place. Place gold metallic shreds on top. Tie the brass tags to the handles.
Wrap the basket in cellophane. Embellish with a large bow made from 3 inches wide gold net ribbon and a cord with tassels.
Friends, remember the theme: Get a basket- Give a basket. When you get a basket then turn around and give a basket, your actions are rewarded by the endless Universal laws of giving. Kindness and giving not only count but they add up!
We miss you every day, Dot Sanchas! Until then, smile and live in the present.
