The Basket Lady
“Oops!” In the Good Humor Town, with all of the Thanksgiving places to go and people to see, Basket Lady was almost a basket case when the RFT’s editor sent her an e-mail with a WARNING attached to it: “Hey, there’s a deadline for all submitted newspaper articles. The Times in Rumford are falling behind!”
Just a little levity brought to you by the Basket Lady. No, that’s not true, there wasn’t any warning attached. It’s all good!
While I had my share of turkey and dressing this Thanksgiving; it’s this time of the year when I feel most grateful for the little and big joys of life and that includes those life tests that come my way before I get the lesson. It’s all good!
To wake up every morning is the most magical thing that any of us can do-to experience the miracle of a beating heart that draws us closer to all that is. My heart leaps in gratitude.
A grateful heart thanks the following every day angels in training for showing a kindness in word or by deed: Joyce Saisi and family, Wendy Lindberg, Dr. Jeffrey Leonards, Barbara Jean Smith, two incognito angels that drop off toiletries, baskets and yearly Veterans calendars. Barbara Morse, Patty Duguay and the RVHCC, Dr. Duvall and Shirley, Jim Bouchard, AHC&H, Jane Bubar, RH., Cindrie Cormier, Wayne Sevigny, R.V. Recreational Dept. Marcel Miller, June Weeks, and Carlo Puiia.
Friends, kindness not only counts but it adds up!
Basket Lady says; get a basket-give a basket. Fill up your basket with kindness today.
We miss your kindness, Dot Sanchas, every day.
Until then, smile and live in the present.
