Thanks for supporting Daffodil Days

To the Editor:

I would like to extend my appreciation to the people of the River Valley and Bethel communities for another great daffodil season.

Thanks to the businesses and individuals who pre-ordered bouquets, bears and potted plants. And a very special thank you to the many volunteers who worked on wrapping, direct selling and delivery of the hundreds of yellow gifts of hope.

None of this could have been achieved without the tireless effort of our area coordinators -- Caroline Gould, Judy Broomhall, Lorraine Nadeau and Ruby Kulpa.

Ray and Judy Broomhall deserve extra "kudos" for delivering on that cold, snowy March day and we certainly appeciated the Mexico Fire Station for our "work station."

The support shown by the people of Northern Oxford County demonstrates their commitment to fighting cancer in our area.
