Thanks for supporting 5K, fun run

To the Editor:

I would like to send a big thank you to all the sponsors and runners who ran in the Dixfield Flea Market fun run and 5K.

I have run in the 5K for several years and when I was asked a few weeks before the race if I could put it together, I said I'd do the best I could.

I'd like to thank the sponsors who donated the prizes for the runners. They are Pizza Hut, Dick's Restaurant, Ellis Variety, The Corner Store and Far East, and Hannaford for the water and cups. Special thanks to E&E Awards for trusting in me and all they did to help. Our own sponsors were Whittemore Property Management, Irving Forestry, Hartings Auto Detail, Pete's Electric, J&T Masonary, E&W Electric and Tommy Guns Pit Stop.

The overall winners in the 5K were Natalie Bolduc with a time of 21:31 for the females, and Ryan Nicols with a time of 19:28 for the males.

I'd also like to thank Pete, Michelle and the boys at the water stop, and to my wife and daughters, and Joe, Dick and Rose for their help pulling it together and at the finish line.
