The Chamber Chatter
Despite the lack of natural snow but due to the dedication of the hard work of the Chisholm’s Ski Club and Black Mountain of Maine the U.S. Cross Country Championships have been going well. The snow making capabilities at Black Mountain (some new snow guns plus generators lent from local businesses) have made it possible for these racers to compete once again here in the River Valley. This is definitely a boast to our local economy and an exciting event in the River Valley!
The lack of snow is simply amazing! I am sure we will get our share soon (hopefully for all winter sports enthusiasts!). I sometimes reminisce about the “old days” when by now we would have snow banks up to and over our height (I know I am not that tall) that would make great sources of snow forts or snow caves. But for now I am fine with not having to snow blow, shovel or clean the snow out of the dog pen. How many days until spring training Tony?

I would love to speak with you about it at your convenience. If you have a business interested in a ribbon cutting, Business After Hours or any of our events I am here to discuss that with you.
If you would like more information on any of the Chamber’s events, call the office at 364-3241 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
