The Chamber Chatter
Rumford Community Home of 11 John F. Kennedy Lane will present, Bill Kirkpatrick, Program Director for the Alzheimer’s Association on June 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mr. Kirkpatrick will talk about, “Legal and Financial Planning.”
This is a workshop for anyone who would like to know more about the legal and financial issues to consider and how to put plans in place when dealing with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Please RSVP to Sue Ellen Richardson by calling 364-7863.
Now that the Rumford Information Center is open fulltime (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday), we are getting many visitors to the facility and the area. The comments about the beauty of the Pennacook Falls, mountains, etc. and the friendliness of the community have been quite frequent. The volunteers once again provide a lot of information and support to our visitors as well as a wealth of knowledge about the River Valley and beyond.
If you haven’t got a copy of RVCC 2013-14 Four Season Visitor’s Guide stop by the Rumford Information Center and grab at least one. It has much information about all 10 of the River Valley towns, places to go, things to see, calendar of events for the year, a map of the area, church and school listings and a list of the River Valley Chamber of Commerce members (by category) with contact information. This is a good item to send to someone who plans on visiting and/or moving to the area. If you would like to display some of these brochures please contact me.
