The Chamber Chatter
The Information Center has been busy with bus tours and tourists stopping in to view the Pennacook Falls and see what our area has to offer.
Yes, it is leaf-peeping season but it has been this way since Memorial weekend. There has been boating on the Androscoggin, walks along the snowmobile trails, ATV and Side by Side riders using the trails to enjoy the beauty of the River Valley. We have so much to offer and we are still one of the best “hidden gems” in Western Maine.
The Chamber is bustling with upcoming events in the area and also getting ready for the holiday season.
Hope Association (at the former Rumford Armory) is having its Oktoberfest on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will include many crafts, jewelry, books, hand knit items, baked goods, herbs, children’s games with prizes, raffles, Chinese Auction, Christmas items and a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Plus there will be great lunches and snacks available. Don’t forget to visit the Christmas in the Valley Booth and purchase your Stash of Cash ticket and raffles that they are doing.
Pumpkin Fest in downtown Rumford is happening on Saturday; plenty of fun and things to do for kids of all ages.
