I hope everyone had great Thanksgiving. As I stated in last week’s chatter it happens to be my favorite holiday and always has been. Great chance to be with loved ones, eat fantastic food, watch and play football!
What an exciting weekend coming up! The Black Mountain of Maine Vendor Fair (3 to 9 p.m.) and the Christmas in the Valley Parade (6 p.m.) both take place Friday. That is followed by the Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair on Saturday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) along with the RAAPA “Musical Christmas Card,” presented on Saturday (7 p,m,) followed by Sunday’s performance at 2 p.m.
As I am writing this there is a significant snowstorm taking place. I know I am going to show my age but this is more of what I remember as a kid when we did get large (with staying power) snowstorms in November. To my memory we have struggled to have snow by Christmas time for the past 20 or so years, maybe more (I am fine with that).
There is a save "Stretch a Dollar Day" for anyone who loves to save money on January 7th at the Region 9 building in Mexico. I will share more information about that day as it comes closer to that date. The plan is to have many presenters there that will share many ways to save money!
