The Chamber Chatter
More holiday spirit in the River Valley! The Rumford Performing Arts Committee is sponsoring the Festival of Trees at the Rumford Falls Auditorium starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. It is free to the public and Santa, Frosty and Panda Bear will be there and available for picture taking opportunities.
On Saturday, Dec. 17, Black Mountain of Maine will have its Snowmobile Hill Climb. Each registered competitor will have two runs starting at 3:00 p.m. The evening’s entertainment will feature Stereotype.
This weather has been amazing. We traveled during the Thanksgiving holiday and one day as we traveled it was 67 degrees. Of course that was only a few days after we had received a foot of snow! Go figure. Speaking of traveling it makes you appreciate the River Valley when fighting through traffic in New York State and New Jersey. I couldn’t imagine going to work everyday and having to leave an hour earlier due to the congestion. I can get to all my jobs within minutes!
The River Valley Chamber of Commerce membership drive is coming up soon so if you are not a member and would like to speak with me about the benefits of joining the RVCC, call or email anytime. I would love to speak with you about our ideas and the RVCC mission. We have a dedicated and hard working board of directors and involved members.
If you would like more information on any of the Chamber’s events, call the office at 364-3241 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
