The Chamber Chatter
There is a great opportunity to view how the local River Valley Rotary operates! You can meet the dedicated members. At Brian’s Bistro on Thursday, March 28 they are having a meeting. For more information about this or upcoming events call the River Valley Rotary at 357-8705. You can visit their website at: www.rivervalleyrotaryclub.org.
Mark your calendars for Friday for the Western Maine Active Communities Conference. This will be an exciting opportunity to help transform your town into an active community. The conference will take place from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Oxford Hills High School in South Paris. Active communities promote both health and economic development for everyone. The cost is free. I thought this was the time of year when things were supposed to warm up and we all have thoughts of hitting the fairways or fishing, etc. I am hoping that the old saying, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb” will be once again a truism. It is bitterly cold this morning!
Next week, I will announce the winners of the awards (Customer Service, Business/Business Person of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Volunteer of the year) for the River Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner at 49 Franklin on April 25. There were many worthy nominees this year.
