The River valley Fourth of July Celebration committee had a meeting this week to continue on with the exciting plans for this year’s celebration. Once again the fireworks depend on donations from the community to pay for the cost. Many generous businesses and individuals have donated so we are off to a good start but we are still not at our goal. If anyone wants to donate toward the fireworks, please send your donation to, RVCC, 10 Bridge St., Rumford, ME. 04276. The check can be written to “RVCC” to make convenient.

The committee would also like to know if there are any vendors interested in being at the Hosmer Field Complex on the Fourth and if so call the office at 364-3241 or email info@rivervalleychamber.com. and we will get back to you with information concerning that.

The 10th Annual River Valley Rotary/Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10. This tournament is always a huge success and great fun for a participants and sponsors.

The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary is once again sponsoring the indesign Mother’s Day Jewelry Sale on May 7th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 8th from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Beautiful jewelry and accessories 30-75% below department store prices! It will feature the “Main Event” with everything $2 to $10 and “Special Events” with FineJewelry and special items individually priced below suggested retail. This event will take place in Rumford Hospital’s Conference Room A. Cash, Visa, Master Card and Payroll Deduction are acceptable forms of payment.
