The 170-mile journey begins at the headwaters of Lake Umbagog in New Hampshire on Friday and ends on August 11 in Brunswick. It goes through this area starting on Sunday, July 21 (Hanover) and travels through the area to the Otis Mill in Jay on Sunday, July 28.
The details for days, put-in times, etc. for the trek are available through Diana Petrakos, Program Coordinator at 754-8158 or through the website, www.androscogginwaqtershed.org. I took part in the Mexico to Dixfield section a few years back and it was amazing how beautiful the River Valley is especially from the angle sitting in a canoe!

Once again, the visitors to the Rumford information Center are amazed by the view of the falls. One thing all this rainfall has brought is very spectacular rapids over the Pennacook Falls! Normally this time of year it would be a trickle but it makes for a very scenic view for our visitors!
