The Chamber Chatter
The Christmas in the Valley Parade Committee theme for this year's parade is “Christmas Wonderland." Put on your thinking caps and start preparing your float. You can get a registration form by emailing the Chamber at email@example.com or stopping in at Erik Designs on Rt. 108 in Rumford. The parade is on December 6, with registration and line-up beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the second entrance of the High School. The parade starts promptly at 6:30. Float judging will begin promptly at 5:30.
The route will remain the same, start at MVHS, down Hancock Street, down Lincoln Avenue to Waldo Street, up Rumford Avenue to the rotary, across the bridge and down Congress Street. All floats will stop at the end of Congress Street and Santa will be getting off his float to light the tree in the park. We are encouraging all people to come see him do that. Santa will meet with the children after the tree lighting at the fire station.
