Dave Duguay would like to announce that his Amato’s of Rumford facility now has WI-FI available for its customers!
It is not too late to register and enter the Christmas in the Valley Parade which takes place this year on Friday (6:30 p.m. start/4:30 beginning line up). We can accept late participants as long as the registration form is turned in to me.
At this point I am sure if it is a float you are working on you probably have already turned in all the documentation needed. But give me a call if you have any questions about it. The registration and rules are posted on the River Valley Chamber of Commerce website (www.rivervalleychamber.com).
There is one change. Due to MVHS basketball games happening that same evening, the first entrance at the school is going to be the set up area as opposed to the original plan using entrance No. 2. Should be a great parade once again!
We had a River Valley Fourth of July Celebration Committee meeting this week and discussed this year’s fireworks, events, etc. Once again we are seeking more volunteers not only for the Fourth but anyone who might have ideas, improvements or fundraising thoughts that they would like to share with the committee.
If that is the case, contact me or attend our next meeting on Tuesday, January 8 at 6 p.m. in the Rumford Police Department’s conference room. We have a very dedicated group of volunteers but they can always use more people to make the celebration and fireworks display once again a great success!
The Business After Hours event, sponsored by the River Valley Chamber of Commerce, is December 13 (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) at the newly improved Black Mountain Ski Resort will give the community a chance to visit the resort and ask questions of the BMSR representatives at the event. Look for the smart new logo and the great skiing deals being offered.
If you would like more information on any of the Chamber’s events, call the office at 364-3241 or email info@rivervalleychamber.com.
