Post 100 Commander's Corner
Well with the fall conference behind us, officers at the Dixfield Legion Post are about to learn new changes that are coming down from National. The officers have plenty of information to use and apply.
I'm very proud to say that we are at 73.97% in membership dues, our membership drive is working and we'll be hard at in the next month. We are aiming for 100% this year with all members help.
For all of you who served before Vietnam you set a high line for us followers, but we have met you line and are pushing onward and upward in ideas, functions, and other things. The Post is doing fine with nickel bingo, we have singles cribbage going if anyone wishes to play, every other Thursday at 6 p.m., a project of the Legion Riders. Our Ladies Auxiliary have plans on going for new things right along with the Legion
They also have a hunters breakfast in the planning box plus other things for the holiday season. S.A.L's if any of you are not up to date please check with the Post Finance Officer to get your 2014 cards okay and also any of you
Members that forgot please contact Ed Ellis at the Post, he'll be glad to get you straightened out.
We are hoping that any group of younger veterans, men or women, please check with your local Post to join the Legion family. We would enjoy having new people with good ideas. Lets make a stand now for all to see that the Dixfield Post 100 is a thriving Post. We have some hard workers that will take the time to assist you in many fashions of the Post -- medical. pensions or doctor's appointments, or just to sit and talk .
Bless all the veterans here and overseas. Keep the light of freedom shining, Your never alone or forgotten.
