SLCOA says thanks
To the Editor:
On behalf of SLCOA (Silver Lake Camp Owners Association)Buoy Fund Drive (Rock & Danger Area Markers in Ellis Pond, I would like to thank all recent supporters for their generous donations to the SLCOA Buoy Marker Fund.
Your commitment to helping the Buoy Marker installation for 2012 on Ellis Pond (Roxbury Pond) is sincerely appreciated.
This fund drive has enjoyed great success in the past months. The community has donated more than two-thirds of the monies towards our goal of $3,130 needed to complete this project (as of September 26).
The goal of the SLCOA is to continue to make a difference at Ellis Pond in the supporting of the Buoy Fund Drive.
With the help of donations from supporters such as we received, we will continue to see improvements in safety and recreation on Ellis Pond.
Thanks again for your generous support of our efforts in attempting to reach our goal for Buoy Markers. This goal can be achieved with continued support from Ellis Pond recreational supporters.
The committee has ordered the buoys for 2012 with monies received thus far. These needed to be ordered by the end of September for delivery in the spring of 2012, when they will be installed before Memorial Day. An actual buoy is located at Ellis Pond Variety for anyone wishing to see what they look like. Please stop in and take a look.
To all that may have not been able to locate where to contribute to this worthy cause, you may pick up donation forms from Ellis Pond Variety or contact me, 441-3630 to have details sent to you.
