A vote for Lisa Keim
To the Editor:
We need leadership in the State house that is willing to reform the struggling and faulted welfare system we currently have. Unfortunately, our current representation does not share that basic and common sense belief.
Representative Briggs, in this past legislative session, voted against two major welfare proposals that ultimately passed in the Republican controlled house. I would hope that a common goal we all share, regardless of political party, is one of gettimg people working again, not allowing them to sit idling on welfare while taxpayers shoulder their burden.
Lisa Keim, a Dixfield resident and mother of three, understands these problems and wants to get Maine working again. She promises to work with other people across the aisle to get the job done, and propose legislation that will help the present and future generation in the long run.
