American Legion -- We can help

To the Editor:

Veterans of any war frame and time, I believe we all should know that a person man or women is considered a Veteran when they sign that contract with the U.S. Military.

Now we ask any Veteran from the Vietnam era to today, if you need any help, please contact the nearest American Legion. We can and will get you the right help.

The VA is working on a woman's unit at Togus and we, as a veterans organization, can and will help in any manner we can. We are at a small stand still right now with our members who haven't paid their dues. If you don't get them in or have done so by internet, please let your post know so you can be counted on the roster.

I hate to say it but if you go past February 1, 2013, you will be dropped and not in good standing that means you can't even transfer to another post. I know it sounds unfair but we go by what comes down to our Post Officers.

Ladies come join the ranks and be helped and counted as Veterans of the American Legion.

Edward J Ellis,

1st Vice Commander,

Post 100
