We're here to assist
To the Editor:
To the lady who lost her son in a confrontation. We all feel your loss. I for one know the PTSD route of war. Being a funny person helps me deal with the hate and shame of war.
PTSD in the extreme is a bad thing for anyone, but we go on. Please remember that the American Legions of Maine can and will help all that need. Rather an older veteran from WWII right up through.
We Vietnam veterans are here to assist in any way we can. If you know of a veteran that wished help send them or take them to the Legion hall and talk to the veterans there. Some of us ride motorcycles so the Legion Riders were born. Call me at 357-6437, I would be proud to come and help any veteran that needs me. I’m District 5 Service Officer for the American Legion. If I cannot help, I’ll know who can.
Veterans if you ride come join the fun and learn, your skills can be used in manners for the good of all veterans.
Post Service Officer for Post 100 in Dixfield is also my position, I’ll do my best to help all that need us.
District 5 Service Officer,
Sgt. Edward J. Ellis,
