Need a positive economic direction

I think it’s reasonable for taxpayers to say they can no longer afford increased taxes every year.
We are half the population we were during our Golden Years, our paper mill’s future does not look promising, we have very few good paying jobs, our shopping areas are waiting for businesses, we have an elderly, dying, disabled and unemployed population, and our nation and state have financial problems which are coming down to us.
We are back to Rumford’s most important problem: the economy.
I believe it is time to hire an experienced, professional economic director, who has successful resume, to move the town in a positive economic direction.
We have got to turn our economy around.
