Let's work together for our Rumford
To the Editor:
I encourage all Rumford citizens to vote on the proposed town budget on Oct. 8th
at the American Legion from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
I encourage every citizen to vote their personal conscience. If you win, I ask you to win with dignity. If you lose, please lose with dignity.
And let us stop hacking at each other, baiting each other and stabbing each other in the back (that includes me). We are not helping “our Rumford” by our behavior.
We must improve “our Rumford.” That is the goal of all of us, isn't it? And, in order to do that, I think we all know that we have to work together.
I think it is obvious we must begin to make different decisions to be successful. Some of those decisions have been made and some are beginning to be made.
Let me repeat: let us stop hacking at each other so that we can move “our Rumford” forward in a positive direction.
Let us make peace with each other, reach out to each other, in positive ways.
Let us make compromises.
Let's make a real effort to work together for the sake of everyone.
What do you say?
