Sincere and heartfelt thanks

To the Editor:

The Family of Bob Gallant thanks all who contributed to the beautiful celebration of his life.

Thanks to the Sheriff’s Dept. and for the special eulogy given by Sheriff Wayne Gallant; the Rumford, Mexico and Dixfield police departments, and the State Police for being present at the funeral and leading the procession through Mexico; and the Junior Police who stood guard during the wake.

Thanks to the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, Dan from S.G. Thibault’s Funeral Parlor and to Rob Simmons who played the bagpipes, and Riley, his granddaughter, who played “Amazing Grace” on the violin.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the meal. And we would also like to thank the Daughters of Isabella for serving food to the families and friends of Bob. And finally, thanks to Rev. Raymond Picard (a family friend) who celebrated the Mass.

We all felt such peace knowing how many people came together to show their love and respect. We know he was watching with such gratitude in his heart.
