Giving credit to the Beacon House

To the Editor:

I'm taking time today to give a well-known place in our community the credit it deserves.

The Beacon House has been a source of comfort and friendship over the years.

Four years ago, when my sister passed away, the Beacon House and their members were there to help take my mind off my sorrow.

Ever since then, I go to the Beacon House to play pool, chat, and share meals with their members.

We have a manager, Cheryl McLean, who helps anyone with rides, hospital visits and cheering people up.

If you have an opportunity to visit, or want to become a member, come down to 41 Bridge St. in Rumford (attached to the Muskie building).

Thank you for reading this.
