Extra travel for health care services
To the Editor:
I am very disappointed with Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield to think that as senior citizens we will have to travel to Portland to get our health care services.
My husband and I live in a rural area and are happy with our CMMC and Rumford hospitals and doctors.
Our winters are very bad and we don't travel in any of those conditions.
Many of us will have to change our insurance plans. I have always been happy with Anthem. We pay a high premium but we received good services.
Many senior citizens do not have a car and cannot drive the 84 miles to Portland. We are getting a bad bargain with this deal that Anthem wants to do to all of us and take our hometown health care away from us. It is going to hurt a lot of people.
