This is a democracy, after all
To the Editor:
In reading literature by the Native Americans, I like their philosophy of life -- we could learn a lot by reading from their perspective. The air, earth and mountains are sacred to them.
Already, we are seeing the reckless cementing, endangerment and destruction to our mountains.
These are mistakes that have been made, immediately unwilling to delay until tomorrow.
It's amazing, the ingenuity the developers invented in concocting explanations, giving them operational licenses to destroy and erase what we've always cared about.
Not having the right to vote on these decisions, we should all march in protest against this destruction, and sue the people who have done damage to our environment.
This is a democracy, after all.
What an inheritance to leave to your children. I believe that the future generation will turn to us, with a look of pride for what we have done.
