Save Our School
To the Editor:
Dear school board members:
Please hear our cries for compassion to SOS (Save Our School). A town isn't a town without a school.
Yes, times are hard, but closing our school will be at the end of any chance to help build our town back up.
We have new businesses here that are trying to make this town prosper again.
You closing our school pulled the rug out from under our feet. You didn't give us as a town, a chance, like you voted in February.
Closing our school isn't cutting the budget. It's just killing our children's education and our town.
In speaking to other towns who also lost their schools, now they have to build bigger schools to house the overabundance of children.
It seems to me in this economy we should keep the schools we already have and keep our children in their town where they thrive. Our scores have proven this.
Please reconsider and revote to keep our school. Thank you for your time and consideration.
