Transformation into "Turbine Valley" has begun
To the Editor:
The hills above Ellis Pond are alive with explosions, gouging of ancient earth, and soon the colossal appearance of the new environmentalist’s symbols of global resurrection. As the little girl says, “They’re back!"
In the beginning, a former governor and a former TV executive brought promises of riches to the good community and by a whooping margin of seven votes, the start of the transformation of the River Valley to “Turbine Valley" had begun.
Twenty-two monstrous machines will suddenly take over the heights of the land, a battalion of whirling arms, and to the villagers below, shock and awe.
What did Mr. TV boss say, “Those alarmed are but a ripple in the still water which disappears over time." I say, “In time, a small ripple of Truth grows to Tsunami proportions" or as Mr. Twain once said, “Lies can travel around the world before truth even has put it’s shoes on."
For us who live outside of Roxbury and have had the blessing of time to realize the folly of wind-powered experiments, we offer you the assurance that the big hammer of time and truth will come down upon the old governor and Mr. TV.
