Regarding Dixfield budgets

To the Editor:
Regarding Dixfield budgets, it's quite evident thar Mr. Mitchell isn't very observent.
The municipal portion of the budget has been relatively flat for a few years. The school budget is what is raising our taxes. This year, the school budget went up over $300,000 dollars. Couple that with the surplus money turned back to the town from the school system has been used up.
There is nothing to help with reducing the amount of money that has to be raised. Plus the municipal portion has been reduced each year at town meeting.
If you don't believe it, put on a graph and you will seed the spike in the school funds.
Selectmen hace no control over the school budget.
