Thanks for supporting Hit the Track for Black 5K
To the Editor:
We would like to take a moment to thank all the many supporters and sponsors for the recently held “Hit The Track for Black” 5K race.
The inaugural event was a huge success, netting over $5,000 for Black Mountain. We are thankful for the 253 registered participants, as well as those individuals who simply chose to donate money for the event. Many thanks go to those who worked behind the scenes, such as Med-Care, Mexico Explorers, Rumford Police Department, Rumford Parks, Chisolm Ski Club Volunteers, the t-shirt prep crew, the registration crew, Bob Arsenault and his timing crew, Charley LeDuc for his help with the course, and Martha Paulin and Kelly Beauchesne for the delicious and beautiful award cupcakes.
We would also like to mention the generosity of our local businesses for their support through sponsorship. They include, the Fitch Company, Brian’s Bistro, Mount Blue Drug, Good Measure Custom Sawing, Hannaford Brothers, Puiia Lumber, Pine Tree Cellular, Oxford Federal Credit Union, Ink Plaza, Paulin’s Tire, Nicols Brothers Logging, Jarato Screenprinting, Community Energy, Sunday River Ski Resort, Mountain View Eyecare and Carrabassett Water.
