Complaint about the Swain Road
To the Editor:
On May 23 as I was heading to work, I saw a sign that read "Your Taxes."
I thought how true it it. I'm talking about the road conditions on Swain Road. You have to be a NASCAR driver to avoid all the sink holes and pot holes there are, especially the multiple pot holes at the end of a neighbor's driveway, and that's where I saw this sign.
Yesterday, there were two orange pylons to alert drivers to slow down. There wasn't enough room for two vehicles to pass. The Town of Rumford's road crew comes up every so often and fills these holes along with the two sink holes further down the road and everything is fine for awhile, then the pot/sink holes return.
I commend the person who put that sign up on Swain Road and I urge the residents of that area to start complaining to have our road fixed.

Swain Road resident
