Thanks for supporting gymnastics meet

To the Editor:

The GRCC gymnastics team hosted the Maine Gymnastics Meet on April 30-May 1 at Mountain Valley High School.

This meet housed 200-plus children from the age of 6-19 from all over the state, representing nine YMCA's.

I would like to thank all of the local businesses, the GRCC staff, the parents and families of all the gymnasts, Craig Zurhorst for announcing, Diane Milligan-Sabina Inn Farms for the housing of the judges from Maine and all of New England, Melinda Woods for her computer work and donation of work, the donated time of many workers, past coaches and gymnasts and family members.

I would like to thank Mountain Valley High School for letting us use their facility, the outstanding janitors for their hours of work, E&E Awards for their great work on awards, Jarato Screenprinting for the t-shirts, and the Maine Press for their brochure week.

I would like to specially thank my present coaches: JR Steward, Samantha Aylward, Tracy Daigle, Caitlin Gallant and Stacy Steward for all of their word behind the scenes.

The meet was very successful and the River Valley area was well represented by the many gymnasts who performed.
