Find out for yourselves

Peru taxpayers: All five selectmen are now going to be voted on for a recall.
If you choose to sign a petition, regardless which petition, please know the facts behind them. If you are unsure, you should never have signed them. Instead, you should go to the selectmen's meetings every Monday at 6 p.m. and see for yourself, or get a copy of the minutes, or better yet, listen to the meeting because they are all audio recorded and should be available.
Everything that happens that night is public knowledge. Find out exactly what it is that caused the petitions in the first place! Do not go by hearsay or say things you don't know for a fact. So many Peru taxpayers want to believe what they are being told is the truth, but instead, I guess people believe no one ever lies to make it fit themselves in this world.
Peru taxpayers need to open their eyes before it's too late to do anything. In the end, taxpayers will have no one to blame but themselves.
The public hearing on this matter is 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11. Public voting is from noon to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 4. Both will be at the Peru Elementary School on Main Street.
