Appreciation for support

To the Editor:
I am writing this in deep heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support I have received since the recent surgery which nearly claimed my life.
To the Rumford Hospital Operating Room staff, Respiratory Department, I.C.U. staff, and all of the other who answered the call during my crisis, I have always been so proud to call you my co-workers. Now I find myself at a loss for words to describe my feelings.
Suffice it to say, there is no doubt in my mind I would not be here today if not for you. How fortunate our community is to have such knowledgeable talented staff available to us 24/7. You guys are the best!
To Dr. Hopperstead, currently serving as surgeon at CMMC, a very special thank you for your compassion, knowledge and friendship. Your kindness and understanding meant the world to my family and me. You are truly an extraordinary human being.
And last but certainly not least, I would like to thank my family, friends and acquaintances. The cards, gifts and especially the prayers have lifted me up tremendously and definitely aided in my recovery. I am so very proud and thankful to call this area home.
