Canisters for the Legacy Foundation
The Legion Riders are once again posting the fact that canisters are out for the Legacy Foundation.
We are hoping to make or break the amount we got two years ago. We, the citizens of the River Valley made it clear with a $500 donation to the Legacy Foundation that our area is supporting our soldiers and their families.
If you see a canister, please be kind, help us give the children of fallen soldiers the right to go on in the academic field they choose. This money helps all children of fallen soldiers all over the United States.
The State of Maine and you folks made a big impression last year: $350. The state sent out $17,000 to the National Headquarters for this fine endeavor. The National gross was somewhere around $640,000.
Also folks, if you notice, we the Riders have some fun posted for you the public to come and enjoy. If your willing to try and build a Valve Cover Car. The traditional is a Valve Cover with CD's for wheels.
The modified has wheels on it. The overall width cannot exceed 8 inches wide. The date is February 20th and the race will be at the Legion Hall. The registration amount is $7 a car.
This money raised will go into the Legacy Foundation amount.
Join in the fun, help the Legion Riders, make the River Valley a place where all of our citizens care and help. Come and enjoy a good time, trophies will be ready for the first, second and third place finishes.
All Legion Riders from around the state, join the fun and try to take the Post, or Chapter Placque.
