Irene sure did some damage! I guess it could have been worse. An unbelievable amount of visitors stopped at the Rumford Information Center to watch the breathtaking falls caused by the massive amounts of rain that fell in the area. The parking lot was at capacity for the entire week following the storm.
The River Valley Chamber of Commerce “Stash for Cash” tickets are now on sale. As usual November is the Stash for Cash month. For $5 per ticket you get a chance to win $50 or on four of those days in November you could when $200 depending on the amount listed on the calendar that day (Monday through Friday only). Once your name is drawn you still go back in and could be pulled again (last year we had two individuals win twice each). Tickets are available at the Rumford Information Center and at many member businesses. If you are a non-profit and are looking for a way to raise money for your organization call me to discuss how your organization can take part in the RVCC Stash for Cash program.
