Magnetic sign stolen
MEXICO -- On March 16, a Canton Road resident reported that while he was at Wal-Mart, someone stole a magnetic sign from the door of his pickup.
The value of the sign was $35. There are no suspects. Investigating is Mexico Police Officer Josh Aylward.
Jewelry, knife taken
MEXICO -- On March 21, a Carlton Avenue resident reported that while he was away, someone entered his apartment and stole jewelry and a knife.
The value of the items is listed at more than $3,000. There are no suspects at this time. Investigating is Mexico Police Officer Kyle Matthews.
Multiple thefts from store.
MEXICO -- On March 31, the Mexico Wal-Mart reported that over the last few days, more than $2,000 in items have been taken from the store.
Mexico Police Sgt. Roy Hodsdon, who is investigating, said the case is still in the early stages, but it appears that more than one person is involved in the thefts.
He noted that they have photos from the store's security cameras to aid the investigation. The thieves carried the items from the store through the front door.
